About Us

Ryan Yarn was born of a wild knitter's desire to fill the shelves of his LYS with even more beautiful and squishy yarns. Ryan grew up near Savannah, Georgia and relocated to Athens, Georgia in 2014, where he has been happily knitting ever since he picked up the craft at a university knit group in 2015. He's been working at the local yarn store of his heart, Revival Yarns, since 2017, and credits them for his ascension into Yarn Obsessed territory. He launched Ryan Yarn in December 2019 and completed the transformation into a yarn-slinging goblin. If you poke around through enough of his colorway names, you'll find a great many of them are song or book references -- he's always got music or an audiobook playing while he's elbow-deep in the dye pans.
